We recently learned about the passing of friend and colleague Simon Oberender. Simon was a very talented musician and technician and he possessed all the right characteristics to be a great studio engineer, a good ear, unbreakable patience and the necessary humor. As part of the Gate Studio team he has been contributing to Epica and the Epica sound for the last couple of years. We are saddened and shocked to hear about his unexpected passing.
We wish his family and the Gate Studio team all possible strength in these difficult moments.
Simon, it was an honour to have known you and to have worked with you. May you rest in peace.
